A little about us...
A family business, Grasslands Nursery was established in 1984. Originally a wholesale nursery growing to supply landscapers and other nurseries. In the late 90's we started selling to the public offering the same great prices direct to local gardeners. In 1998 our website went live, with the same aim as our nursery, to bring great priced, top quality plants to the the rest of the country. Today you can buy a range of plants from us, professionally grown, cared for, picked and packed by our team of expert horticultralists on our 30 acre site.
Think of a Tree or Shrub that grows outside, any plant, no matter how obscure or how large, whether it be a hedging plant, perennial, ornamental shrub, climber, palm tree, conifer, topiary plant or tree fern, we probably grow it here and with plenty to choose from.
That plant would be fresh from our own nursery, of the highest quality and the price would be half what you would expect to pay elsewhere. That is if you could find one somewhere else to compare the price with.

A personal note from our founder...
Internet shopping is a great way to buy for all those who know exactly what they want or where prices and standards are fairly obvious, but there is no substitute for the visual stimulation of a visit to the nursery or a one to one chat about specific specimens. We all know that the internet has given rise to the garage based middle men that get away with a swish website hiding the fact that they have never put hands in compost or know dandelions from daffodils.

We grow all our plants through at least one stage, if not several stages, of their production. It gives us the control of quality, health and selection as well as ensuring that the price of everything we sell is kept as low as possible. Any cost reductions we make as a result of the economies of scale are passed straight back to the customer. It has always been our policy, and, along with the aforementioned important controls, has been the secret of our meteoric rise to fame achieved over the past 20 years. See for yourself below.
