Phyllostachys aureosulcata 'Spectabilis'- Golden groove bamboo- is a tall, evergreen perennial bamboo with green-grooved, golden-yellow canes, which turn bright red in the sun, fading to darker yellow with age. This must be one of the best bamboos suited to cold climate gardening and is one of the most desirable exotic-looking bamboos. Good for a tall screen, a large container or as a stand-alone specimen.
