Slow growing palm with a sturdy trunk.Strongly arching blue green leaves up to 6 feet long.Yellow flowers are bourne in panicles 5 feet long in summer followed by yellow-purple fruits.Even when small they will stand most winters outside. The bigger they are the hardier they are so when very large plant in well drained soil in a sheltered court yard type setting.Height in ground 4-6m
