Trees

Trees make an excellent feature in any garden. Many can be kept in pots as a patio decoration or they can be planted in the ground. Trees can completely change the structure of a garden; adding texture and height. When buying trees make sure you select a tree that is appropriate for the area you wish to plant it. Trees can vary dramatically in height, spread, root depth ect. If you are planting a large tree you want to make sure it isn't placed too close to your house as the roots can start to cause problems with drains and foundations. 

If planting trees, staking is often needed, but it should be no higher than 60cm (2ft) above the ground.
