A family business, Grasslands Nursery was established in 1984 by Steve Watmore. In the late 90's we started selling straight to the public offering them the same great prices paid by the trade customers. In 1998 our website went live, with the same aim as our nursery, to bring great priced, top quality plants to the the rest of the country. Today you can buy a massive range of plants from us, professionally grown, cared for, picked and packed by our team of expert horticultralists on our 30 acre production site.

This website is managed by our small dedicated team and we try to to be honest with truely representative, sometimes earthy, pictures taken in this nursery.

Some of our best selling lines are: hedging laurels, buxus/box hedging, leylandii hedging, taxus/yew hedging, photinia red robin of all shapes, phyllostachys/bamboo, topiary plants and all manner of other shrubs, perennials, conifers and exotic shrubs. The company all started on the back of our own lawn turf production and we still are one of the countries leading turf suppliers. If you buy turf at the same time as your hedging and shrubs you can now do it as we have joined the products on this site. We grow an economy turf, a family lawn turf and a turf for the show piece which we call show lawn.
